Sound Leakage Detection

Airtight & Noisecheck Ltd are one of the first companies in the country to be able to offer our customers a state of the art leakage detection service, this is done using either a visual or audible aid and will be able to detect where a structure, partition or door is acoustically weak. Perhaps a window seal has not been fitted correctly or the junction has not been sealed, we will be able to detect the source and visually show you how and where the sound is traveling through the partition. The visual equipment is frequency specific and can determine which frequencies are leaking through the structure.

This equipment has been used in noise sensitive scenarios where the sound attenuation offered is not as it should be, this is a vital tool in trying to determine where the problem areas are before the remedial works commence.

Our acoustic camera gives us outstanding performance. The camera front end contains 225 microphones - more than most competitors - and enable us to perform noise analysis with a clear view of the spatial distribution of the sound. The system is easy to set up in the field, as we can power the self contained unit from mains or battery and connect the LAN cable to our computer.

The sound signal from every microphone as well as the video from the integrated optical camera are recorded and stored in our MacBook Pro computer. Both live level plots as well as post-processed analysis are available, so we can analyse and listen to the sound in the selected directions - even in real time!

Scanand Listen

Scan & Listen
Our Scan & Listen is designed to make the PU probe or Scanning probe signals audible and can be used in battery mode or powered mode. We can switch between sound pressure and particle velocity. Simultaneously while listening, the particle velocity and sound pressure signals can be recorded to our computer. The signals can be read out with a special BNC cable. This cable has two BNC's connectors and thus the device can be connected to most of the standard data acquisition systems.
